Chocolate wet cake Recipe


Ingredients

  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  3. 2 teaspoons baking soda
  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  6. 2 cups granulated sugar
  7. 4 large eggs
  8. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  9. 1 cup whole milk, at room temperature

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Alternately add flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  6. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Tips

  • To ensure a wet cake, don’t overbake.
  • Serve with your favorite frosting or topping, such as chocolate ganache or whipped cream.
