SWEET ALABAMA PECAN BREAD


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: Combine melted butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine: Mix wet and dry ingredients. Fold in pecans.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool: Let bread cool before slicing.
